Recently printed a zine: "same city, same us", a queer illustrated short story set entirely in Macau.

最近印了一本以澳門為背景的同志插畫短故事 —— 同城小事,書中情節皆在澳門發生。

Medium Blue + Yellow, blended into an ambiguous green.This hue captures a city almost invisible on the map, a place with a soft and blurred identity.


At first, buying these two risograph colour gradient mix with my limited budget seemed a mistake, but the nighty green became the starting point of this Macau zine.


It’s been eight years since my last visit to Macau. Faint yellowed fragments linger in my mind: Isabella, Sisterhood (film set in Macau also). Old streets layer upon layer, rusted green gates, uneven cobblestones, motorbikes weaving through narrow alleys. Routine flows like water along this city. In these scenes, detached from the usual reality, feel like as if I glimpse a blurred green sea, impossible to tell which channel it comes from. In that instant, it reflects their image.


Medium Blue + Yellow, 混出一種曖昧的綠,這種氣氛恰好用來形容一座在地圖上幾乎看不見的小城。一個習慣把自身身份隱隱約約、模糊處理的城市。


最初以為自己僅能憑著有限的資金買下的兩種 risograph 混色是個錯誤決定,但原來只要為這種尷尬的色彩重新定義一下,就已經承載每個故事的開端。


距離上次到澳門,已經是八年前。期間偶爾在香港遇到澳門人,腦海裡浮現的卻只有淡黃的片段:《伊沙貝拉》、或《骨妹》、《人肉叉燒包》。聽說大家畢業後都是投身賭場,還有政府每年透過派錢刺激消費的印象。這座邊緣城市,層層疊疊的舊街道上,經風化而褪成鏽綠色的挑花鐵閘,凹凸不平的石板路面,熟習迷宮小巷而過的電單車,現實像例行公事般在這城市繼續如水流動。這些不屬於大趨勢,而又朦朧的情景,彷彿在大海中,無法分辨水究竟源自哪一條水道,而在那一瞬間,忽然望見了一片模糊的綠色,映照著自己的倒影。
